Good Morning Vietnam!

Errr... It's actually 9pm here in Hanoi but I can't stop myself from being corky and use that famous phrase from Robbin William's movie of the same title. It's one of my movies of all time and it's so relevant now :)

Anyway, I'm at our backpackers' joint on our last night in Vietnam. I can't believe the journey is going to end soon.. time flies so fast when you're having fun! I have to say, this is one of the best trips so far especially with the 3 crazy 'creatures' around, although two have just left on a night train to Sapa about an hour ago. Sigh.. how I wished I have more annual leaves to take so that I can join them to the highlands too!

Ok.. will update more when I'm back in KL.. I can't be hogging the PC all to myself when there're other backpackers waiting to use it, can I? See you all soon!

I said hello...you said goodbye

Such an interesting day today.. Met up with SD for a late lunch and ended up meeting quite a few bloggers whom I previously knew only by their nicknames. Nice to finally meet you SeaDiamond and Marina! :)

Anyway, learnt quite a few things on diving stuff too, pretty interesting I'd say. So, looks like it will feature on my to-do list soon, after the Mount Kinabalu trip next May I guess. For now, just want to bid a temporary farewell since I'll be flying off for a backpacking trip to Cambodia and Vietnam early tomorrow morning. I'm all excited of course, but since I'll be going with 3 other guys, I'm a bit worried...I hope I don't get bullied by these creatures! Oh well, not too much anyway...

You guys take care for now ya!

Will be back in 2 weeks' time, I'm sure..

updated 27.11.07: grammatical errors corrected....all the way from Hanoi! :)

My sanctuary

It was one long stressful week. When the weekend finally came, I thought of fully utilising it to rest my troubled mind and to catch up with sleep. Unfortunately, I woke up way before sunrise yesterday, too early for a sunday morning! So, instead of snuggling up underneath the duvet with eyes wide opened, I got up and went swimming instead.

This was where the first one formalised..

This was where the last one started..

A lot of memories but I keep coming back..

Saw a number of friendly and familiar faces although it was still early. After a couple of short chats, off I went into the pool. Cold yet refreshing.

This is the place I'd be to vent out my frustration or sadness..

This is the place I’d head to when there are too much to handle and peace and quiet are desperately needed..

This is where I can clear my cluttered mind and this is the reason why I am here now..

‘Tengah stress ke?’ asked one of the staff cum buddy. Looks like he could read me like a book already..

End of an era (and the beginning of a new one)

So, I turned 48 a few days ago. Instead of having the day off to celebrate, it was a busy day instead starting with a virtual viva session f...
