Prayers
A number of close friends are going through rough patches in their respective lives right now. It's really hard seeing these good souls in uncertainties and sadness and it's even harder to know that there's nothing much I could do to help except for lending them my shoulders and praying that the dark clouds will soon be over.
May Allah give them strength and wisdom and may all their prayers are granted. Ameen.

Of course it does! First glance at the photo, I thought it was Big Ben. Erecting a massive structure too close to the Masjidil Haram can pose a serious threat if the adjacent buildings were to collapse suddenly. It makes me wonder though if the Saudi govt had seeked proper advice on townplanning. My best guess is money is taking the driver's seat in this recent re-development of Mecca.
