My Heart v2.0

If you ever get a chance for a second heart, what 'upgrades' would you ask for?
With 30-odd years of experience with the first version, I think I would want the new one to...

* have an automatic sensor ( just like my car) so that it can beep loudly to warn me, the host, whenever it is near nasty hearts or those heartless hosts. Then I can run miles away before those nasty hearts even noticed my existence.

* be made of something with extra strength and yet still flexible and mouldable.. PVC perhaps? A heart as hard as stone has its huge diadvantage. I remember learning from my 'alam dan manusia' subject in primary school decades ago that stones have to undergo a natural process which causes chips and cracks in them and once that has occured, there's no turning back. (I just cannot recall the process name... Oh well, I wasn't that interested in science back then anyway...) So, once a stony heart is damaged, the scar will be there forever although it won't be as dramatic as glass which usually will go into thousands of broken pieces. Once broken considered sold... who came out with that clever phrase? If it can apply to hearts, then a heart made of glass may not be such a bad idea afterall..

* be able to be reformatted like computers with no recollection of previous lives in the event of major traumas or virus infections brought upon by those nasty hearts.

* have a specific section for permanent memories for major decisions such as love because a sudden change of heart in a host will definitely cause heartache in the partnering host especially those who have truly given their hearts away...but on second thoughts, if they have given their hearts then they would have become heartless, hence, won't feel any pain anymore right? emmm.. that finally explains something!

* have a voice of its own. More often than not, a heart needs to compete with other components of the host particularly the brain in voicing opinions, which can be quite frustrating. But of course, the heart need to have some intelligent filters fitted to it before this can be done since language of the heart is not usually easily comprehensible, even by it own host..

anything else?

Can't believe it's already October! A few points to jot down to be kept here as my life journal (since nobody is reading it anymore...
