Long throwback

While clearing up my draft folder, I came across an unpublished entry containing the above pic from 2004. Didn't realised blogger could keep very old drafts but lost more recent comments and published photos!

Anyhow, that was a blurry and confusing period. I was waiting for my divorce to be finalised in that month and at the same time got to know a nice chap just by chance. He came all the way from Penang to take me out to this League Cup final but the game was so dull that we ended up having a picnic inside the stadium instead. We had a good night out, I got to know him better but that was it. I wasn't ready for anything more.

I hope, that nice chap has found his life partner and is leading a happy life. I know I am.

The American Dream (Part II)

I am feeling slightly melancholic today although there are thousand and one things to do. So I might as well be 'productive' here instead.

These pics were taken at Yosemite National Park during our US trip back in 2015 (time flies damn fast!). This is one of the places that I would love to visit again, with my beloved the next time round. Such a breath-takingly beautiful and peaceful place to be!

A nice market to get huge, fresh and supersweet plums, grapes and my favourite, cherries.

Starz & Dynamites

Went to watch HKSBP (formerly known as PPM) basketball final between STF & SSP at MABA yesterday. Although we lost, I am glad that I went. The atmosphere at the stadium was reinvigorating to my soul. For that 1 hour or so, I felt young again, cheering loudly with my fellow Srikandis, with nothing else in mind. But I am nursing a sore throat today, ergh.

TF Dynamites with Sir Tim

Speaking of basketball, I would like to also give tribute to our CUCMS Rx basketball team for being the champion in the 10th NPSC 2 months ago. When we first established the first ever female team last year, only 2-3 of them have ever played basketball before, but with consistent training and strong team work, they managed to get silver last year and went on to win gold this year. I am one proud coach :)

Similarly, the male team won silver last year and gold this year too! This is the team that have been playing friendlies with Satum for the past 3 years, even the Satum guys commented that this team has progressed tremendously.

The night when their dreams came true. Coincidentally, it was on the same court that I used to play many years ago.

End of an era (and the beginning of a new one)

So, I turned 48 a few days ago. Instead of having the day off to celebrate, it was a busy day instead starting with a virtual viva session f...
